Judy Corcoran started her media career in radio and television before moving to print some 30 years ago. She has worked on staff and freelance at some of the country’s largest and most successful magazines including Better Homes and Gardens, Vogue, Town & Country, American Way, Real Simple, Popular Mechanics, Golf Digest, Shape and U.S. News & World Report.
Starting in research, Judy developed her marketing skills and worked for many years writing presentations before switching to advertising sales. During a mid-life crisis, she left the security of a staff position for the variety and uncertainty of a freelance career. She became the media reporter for Brand Marketing and contributed to Supermarket News while she wrote two books as a co-author: Joint Custody With a Jerk: Raising a Child With an Uncooperative Ex (St. Martins, 2006) and Volleyball: Playing With Your Head at Any Height (Wish Publishing, 2006).
Judy now works both on- and off-site as a copywriter, copyeditor, project manager and sales person at magazines and media companies.
Renée Martin is currently the Creative Director of Marketing at a consumer health educational company. She has worked at Better Homes and Gardens, Inc., Smithsonian Publishing and the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau. She’s an active member of the Advertising Women of New York and the Somerset Art Association in New Jersey. Martin received her BFA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
